PHRF Racing

KYC members planning to race this year, whether at KYC or in one of the many other events around the area can now get their PHRF (Performance Handicap Racing Fleet) rating on line. Go to the PHRF-MA (Mid Atlantic) website for more info on this and other news.

If you have any questions, please e-mail info@phrfma.org

A current PHRF-MA rating is required to qualify for any trophies

KEYPORT YACHT CLUB regattas and individual races are governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing and the US Sailing prescriptions thereto. For the 2014 season, PHRF-MA certificates are issued via US Sailing - log in to "My US Sailing", and look for "My PHRF Boats" in the left-column menu.

If you don't have a current certificate, please contact Nate Titcomb at US Sailing.

NathanTitcomb@ussailing.org 401-683-0800, ext. 628

Not sure if you have a cert? Two ways to check...

  1. Check the consolidated list available on the US Sailing website or
  2. Follow instructions shown here

For those not familiar with the PHRF handicap system, here's an explanation of how it works:
