July Overnight Cruise
The KYC Cruising committee will host an overnight cruise on the Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays on July 27th & 28th. The plans are to leave KYC Saturday morning for lunch at Raritan Yacht Club. Members who don't wish to overnight and/or any members having a boat share boat for the day are welcome to attend this leg. After lunch we will be leaving for Atlantic Highlands no later than 4 PM.
If you are planning to overnight at Atlantic Highlands and want to attempt to get a mooring, please try to schedule on Dockwa ASAP. AHYC only has 3 moorings available on a first serve basis. Please make a note that you are KYC reciprocal members in the special requests section on Dockwa so that the fees are waived. If there are not enough moorings, boats are free to anchor and raft up at the end of the mooring field and the AHYC launch will come out to take you to the dock.
If you are looking for a boat to travel on, please contact [email protected] and we'll try to connect you with a boat. Please indicate what you would like to do (Raritan only, Raritan and AHYC, AHYC only and whether you would like to overnight). Bear in mind that, if you want to Cruise to AHYC on another boat but not overnight it's a simple matter to leave a car at AHYC or Uber back to KYC. Nauti Lass will likely have some room and we will have a car at AHYC. Nauti Lass will probably anchor out.
